Our Funding Criteria:

Music Farming seeks to spread participation in music throughout the US by funding music education programs. We make grants to registered 501(c)3 organizations whose work meets each of the following criteria:

  1. The program should provide music education within a specific community to individuals of any age.

  2. The program should be rooted in a local community, and seek to build a lasting foundation for music education in that community.

  3. We will prioritize programs that provide music education to either low-income participants, or to communities with little or no access to music education.

Please complete the initial application to allow our team to review your organization for eligibility. Once approved, we'll provide you with the next steps to apply for funding.

Music Farming makes grants twice annually. If you are a 501(c)3 organization whose project meets our funding criteria, you are welcome to apply for a grant based on our required format.

We accept grant requests up to $20,000. Please review our funding criteria before applying.

Deadlines for those cycles are:

Spring Cycle

  • Proposals due beginning of February

  • Grants announced May

Fall Cycle

  • Proposals due September

  • Grants announced November
